THE BUCHELCORP STORY

Buchel Corp was the coming together of minds. Rob Buchel and his two sons Andrew & Alex established this Family Business. The story begins Rob was managing the consumer business in Australia and came to the Philippines looking for a call center to handle calls for their herbal distribution business. However, Rob discovered and soon realised that very few BPO’s were able to cater for Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's). In fact, most were geared toward larger companies and were cost prohibitive for SME’s. There came the idea

“Why not do your own”.

Rob Buchel started out in a small office in the City and Land building, ADB Avenue in Ortigas, Manila in March 2012. A few months had passed and several of Rob’s friends and associates inquired with his new BPO office in Manila. Some quickly wanted to jump on board and use someone they know and trust. That’s when slowly the expansion of the business began.

Alex Buchel joins s in late 2012, having decided the family logistics business in Australia could use the BPO to arrange deliveries, do bookkeeping, pay bills, answer emails and the phones. Alex turned out to thrive on this opportunity and took the logistics business from $156,000 per year to $3 million in only 3 years.

Moving was now required, during a large growth phase. After a little over 2 years in Manila, business was growing quickly, we were expanding so we looked for new larger office space. However, due to congestion and heavy traffic in Manila where, as an SME we can’t afford to have employees being late for work due to uncontrollable traffic congestions, the idea was floated, why stay in Manila?

The Move to Subic Bay Freeport Zone In early 2013 we started the process of and establishing the current offices in “The Venue” on Rizal highway now with a much larger number of staff and employees. It was a haven and paradise to have our business in Subic where the environment was clean, technology state of the art, the available pool of talent is good, and most of all it is not congested with heavy traffic.

Andrew Buchel joins s in June 2016, who is already a published academic and poured his efforts into Buchel Corp bringing strategic thinking and sound financial management to the business. By giving the growing business a solid direction insures the future of Buchel Corp

Rob Buchel moves back to Australia in December 2018 to work on new projects to develop the “over arching” outsourcing concept for small businesses. Buchel Corp continues operations in the Philippines, however expands in Australia.
